Fred brings 15 years of planning and business experience to QAI. As a planner he has worked in the public and private arena. He began his planning career in Pennsylvania as a private consultant 11 years ago writing zoning ordinances and comprehensive plans for municipalities and counties. He has always enjoyed meeting the public and had a chance to hold more than one hundred hearings and public information and education sessions over seven years.
Desiring a more dynamic planning atmosphere (and better weather) he arrived in Florida fall of 2004, opting to apply his skills to the public sector as a senior planner in Lee County's Zoning Division. He very much enjoyed his time there and remains good friends with staff (in his mind). It was the single best educational experience of his career. |

Nevertheless, after 18 months of zoning review he began to feel a need to create rather than review. Yes, he began to feel the pull of the "darkside" (as the public sector "jokingly" refer to consulting). During that time he had a case where Al Quattrone was the agent. Impressed with Al's abilities, demeanor, reputation and his approach to business, and after seeing great potential, he decided to team up with QAI.
Today he enjoys managing 30-40 zoning and entitlement cases, really, he enjoys it, it is a bit strange. Looking forward Fred believes QAI has the capabilities to grow into a public sector force and will continue to position the firm in that direction. As the company continues to grow he also looks forward to regional planning projects and larger scale developments. In addition, he had a stint as a web designer running his own business for two years allowing him to contribute to the marketing efforts of QAI, including this website, so if you see anything wrong call him.
When not involved at QAI he is highly involved with his family and in Riverside Church on Daniels Parkway. He enjoys serving in various roles from preschool helper to mission work in Haiti (foodforhaiti.org). When he thinks he is still young enough (every Friday) he coaches and plays for Riverside softball. He has a great wife who is on staff at the church, two wonderful children, Casey (8) and Madison (6). |
